year-old neoclassical
mansion, formerly the home of the famous
Greek sculptor George Vitalis. Opened to the
public in 1989 the mansion has been fully
restored to its original glory.

Situated in a peaceful and traffic-free spot
in the adminisrative capital of the
Cyc!adic islands it overlooks the
spectacular neoclassical town of Hermoupolis
and the picturesque port. From its terrace
the view extends to the islands of Mlykonos,
Delos, Tinos. Paros and Naxos. Throughout

with traditional nobility making a stay an
unforgettable experience.

From its earliest days the Hotel has been

lnitially some of the most important Greek
ship owners stayed as their ships were being
repaired in the renowned shipyarrds of
Syros. Later and from the beginning of the
1990s the Hotel became well known in
diplomatic circles in Athens. The Hotel has
hosted ambassadors from many countries
including the USA. the UK. France, the
Netherlands as well as numerous consuls
of various countries. Equally, famous Greek
composers, actors. authors and poets found
the Hotel an ideal place to rest. Nor should
one forget to mention the politicians.
